Sophie: The original thought was to write some kind of eighties hit and I wanted to use all the classic ingridiences of such a song. A ”New Order - Blue Monday” sounding bass drum (not sampled!), octave bass, cute vocals about love and some tough male rap (by Tevski) etc..

The lyrics are about unanswered love, with the girl running out into the night to find the guy she's attracted to (without knowing why), but being unable to find him. All of this ended in an ordinary 80's song, but that's not the way I wanted it to be. I mean, what's the fun in that?! So I put all the parts in my ”meat grinder” (the SoundForge software in my laptop), and chopped, distorted, cut and pasted until it all became something new and unique. And instantly fun!

”Cold” is a bit tougher, ”Wanting” is a bit prettier and Johan Sigerud's acoustic version of ”Into Night” shows that the song actually have a very beautiful melody.
